2000black was founded in 1997 by mr dego ranks.a place where genre defying grooves were welcomed and football addicts could converse and analyse the weekends results. With early contributions from titonton,domu,seiji and pariss clemons (r.i.p) the mood was set and the progressive path taken. then came The Good Good compilations to showcase London boogie and Euro jazz U.S funk and Nippon grooves it was welcomed by those that heard but unfortunately ignored by more !! Amongst all this we, alongside demus,phlash & i.g culture founded co-op but alas departed in 2004.

The story of Steppah Huntah is the story of two musicians - Steven J, a bass player and Oless-t, a pianist, and a chance meeting at a Strasbourg jazz club one Autumn evening in 2002. The duo were soon inspired to work together to fuse their love for jazz, afrobeat & funk in the service of a new driven sound, powered by the seemingly endless possibilities offered by new computer technology.
